There are many religious and non-religious Sogdian texts, which date back from the second to the tenth centuries AD. A lot of these texts were found in the Turfan oasis and Don Huang in East Turkestan, which belong to the Christians, Buddhists and Manicheans. Sogdian Christian texts are mainly translations of the Syriac writings, most of which no longer exist. These include exegesis, sermons, passages from the Bible, the biography and deeds of saints and Christian martyrs, and the ideas of the church fathers. One of them is a manuscript containing a sermon on Christian monasticism. In this study, after providing a transliteration, transcription, and Persian translation of this Christian Sogdian text, its structure and content is analyzed. Translation and study of the teachings contained in this text, in order to acquiring detailed knowledge of the Sogdian language and Christian monasticism, are among the reasons that make this research necessary. چکیده<br /> سغدی در آغاز زبان رایج در دره زرافشان بود که بعدها به زبان اداری و تجاری سرزمین‌های گسترده‌ای در آسیای میانه تبدیل شد، و از مرزهای باختری چین تا مرزهای خاوری ایران، به صورت زبان میانگان، مورد استفاده اقوام پرشماری قرار گرفت. از این زبان آثار دینی و غیردینی بسیاری برجای مانده است که در فاصله سده‌های دوّم تا دهم میلادی نوشته شده‌اند. بخش بزرگی از آثار دینی سغدی در واحل تورفان، و نیز دون هوانگ در ترکستان شرقی به دست آمده‌اند که متعلّق به پیروان ادیان مسیحی، بودایی و مانوی هستند. آثار سغدی مسیحی عمدتاً ترجمه‌های متون سریانی هستند که اصل سریانی آنها در بیشتر موارد از میان رفته است. این آثار شامل تفاسیر، مواعظ، بخش‌هایی از کتاب مقدس، زندگی و اعمال قدّیسان، اعمال شهدای مسیحی و آراء بزرگان کلیسا می‌باشد. از جملۀ این آثار، دست‌نوشته‌ایست که حاوی موعظه‌ای دربارۀ رهبانیّت مسیحی است. پژوهش حاضر پس از معرفی و ارائۀ حرف نویسی و آوانویسی و برگردان فارسی این متن سغدی مسیحی، به تحلیل ساختاری و محتوایی آن می‌پردازد. ترجمه و بررسی آموزه‌های موجود در این متن، و نیز آشنایی بهتر با ظرایف زبان سغدی و رهبانیت مسیحی، از جمله دلایلی هستند که انجام چنین پژوهشی را بایسته می‌سازند.
